Food, Reviews and Nothing Personal

Fish & Co– Growing up through the years!

I remember fish & Co from my years in Junior college where people my age started to go to places which were a little bit more fancy for gatherings and dates. During those days, I often went to fish & Co for their big portions of fish & chips or seafood platters for quality food which doesn’t put a hole in my pocket.

The Best Fish & Chips!

That was more than 10 years ago. Today, Fish & Co has definitely grow much bigger in terms of the number of outlets they have and in terms of the variety of food they serve. Not only are they selling just one type of fish & Chips, they now boast 9 different types of fish and chips– Italian, Danish, Swiss, Singapore and even Bombay! They also serve chicken and pasta dishes.. and im glad they have so many variety of fish, and let you choose your sides as well!

Brilled Calamari

I ordered the white fish with sambal and got 2 sides of veg (low carb!) and the fish was a generous portion with a sambal which tasted very ‘malay’ style. Just the right amount of kick without overwhelming spiciness. I was also missing the grilled squid with black spice in the seafood platter i used to love so much and it still tasted good to me! Ordering the grilled calamari as a side also means that they gave the squids that are bigger and they were really very succulent! Over the mild peppery spice they also had a small amount of lemon butter sauce on it. Im not a lover of sotong and what’s more, non-fried version was never something I would usually order, except at Fish & Co! The Angmoh kia wasnt very used to this and said he still prefers the more traditional fried calamari. He ordered “The Best Fish & Chips”, which is the original from Fish & Co. This comes with the their signature lemon butter sauce and I must say he wasnt disappointed, just a tad oily on the inside. It was nice that the batter was not too thick and you still get a good chunk of fish meat.

Im so gonna come back for more for satisfying dinners. My dad and aunt saw the pictures i posted on fb and Im sure Fish & Co will see more patrons! =)
